Wisconsin is starting off well - hitting their shots and the bigs are staying out of foul trouble. Hopefully they can hang in there with shooting and keep disrupting KU's offense.

I think this is the championship game - either of these two teams should steam-roll Duke.

WOW

Dekker stepped up and was the difference maker including defense with slowing down one of those Harrison guards. Clutch free throws by Koenig.

Great finish!

Wisc went 7 minutes without a field goal in the 2nd half and still stayed in it. I think they had a similar drought in the first half.

Yep, and their defense kept in it. KU couldn't capitalize on Wisc's drought.....Wisconsin was the better TEAM tonight...I was glad to see a senior laden team beat a freshmen laden team. I hate the one and done philosophy of college basketball. Yeah, some kids come out of a bad situation and go for the money, can't fault em for that, it just is not the same game as when folks stick around for 4 years...

I agree on all points and still hate what it does to college programs when kids don't stick around until at least junior year.

It was terrible to the Univ of Washington program when Spencer Hawes 7'1" center left for the NBA in 2006 after his freshman year instead of sticking around to play with incoming Isiah Thomas 5'9" guard and the rest of that team. Thomas left for the NBA junior year. Those 2 play together and that team would have gone deep into the NCAA tournament.

How many times have kids gone early and struggled?? More than not, granted you have your LaMarcus Alredge, Kevin Durant, but 90% of them could use more work on their game. I think the longer they stay under a good coach the more a team oriented approach sticks with em....

Agree, and the NBA would benefit because these days because it has so many under-coached, non-team players. Even when Seattle had an NBA team, I thought the pro league was going down the tubes. Just one big all star game - yes best athletes in the world and incredible skills but even so, not even 10% of the excitement and drama of college hoops these days.

When San Antonio won last year with good ol team ball, it proved the point over the 3 superstars that were supposed to be unbeatable...
