Broken beyond repair but highly affable
Was listening to BBC Outside Source Radio and now Outlook on OPB Radio. Currently re-racking all my systems and have a boombox on in the kitchen.

Victim of the record bug since age five
Led Zeppelin
Houses of the Holy: 2nd pressing, "gp" (George Piros) in deadwax.
Presense: Japanese, quiet background but a bit thin on the bass.

Simple Minds
Sons and Fascination: The album that made me one of their fans. "BIBO TAME" (?), "COURAGE OF DREAMS", and A3 in side one deadwax, "BRUTHANZ!" and B2 in side 2.
Sister Feelings Call: Companion album of "Sons". "BIBO TAME" and "REPEAT" in side two deadwax. I think these were also released as a two-disc package in the UK.

RESEARCH: It's not "BIBO", but BilBo- mastered by Denis Blackham. I wish they'd make those damned things easier to READ!
MORE RESEARCH: The first 10,000 copies of "Sons" included "Sister" as a freebie, shrinkwrapped together. Afterward, "Sister"was sold separately at a budget price.

Open Your Eyes - Yes
Limited Edition Surround Hybrid disc
- listening in stereo with HP150 cans.

Bass articulation on these headphones continues to impress, with the entire freq response almost perfect to my ears.
Contrary to some factions, I'm actually hearing some improvement in these bad boys.

Dave: It looks as though my dad has the same vintage table-top radio as you. You liking the album?

Hey Nando
It's a Grundig Majestic 3265 that I resurrected - minor wiring and soldering which I'm barely capable of was all that was needed. I love the look of it.

As for the Floyd album...good listening but I'm afraid it did not live up to the hype. For the last (supposed) album I was expecting to be blown away. A bit disappointed but glad to have it. Sometimes you just can't go back, especially when you're missing key components.

Nice, Dave. I have a Grundig Fleetwood console. It's beautifully finished, but I need to spend a bit of time getting it up to snuff, operation-wise.

I still enjoy "The Endless River", as I've heard it five times through since getting it when it first came available. I wasn't expecting it to be new music from Floyd, so for me it was like being with an old friend, telling the same old stories.

Nando.

Sam Cooke - Ain't That Good News
(1964, RCA)

According to wiki - A Change Is Gonna Come was written by Cooke in response to Dylan's Blowin' In The Wind, and he wrote Another Saturday Night while touring in England when staying in a hotel room where no female guests were allowed.
