I think the term "legend" is probably about right.

Always liked TD's early albums and soundtrack work.

Me too, but their best period was in the line-up with Johannes Schmoelling 1980-1985; their live performances were famous and record breaking.

The Clash's Train in Vain off London Calling was the first hidden track I ran across and is still my favorite hidden track of all time, although apparently it wasn't so much intended to be hidden as it was just a last second addition and it was too late to print it on the sleeves.

I was listening to the full Logos concert by Tangerine Dream (recorded live in February 1982 at the Dominion Theatre, London) in HD audio, and suddenly I realized how far
these guys were ahead in composing and performing modern electronic music..
