Plans for the original Klipschorn are on the same site- and I'm not ready for a project that massive. I can't say for sure, but the image you attached looks like the folded horn of the original K. Yeah, it would be a good one- a GREAT one even, but I'm a bit on the OCD side, so the thought of something this complicated would bring me to the point of self-defeat. The LaScala, especially for my first attempt at DIY speaker systems, is the best entry point for me.

ALSO, The original K required (or at the very least, strongly suggests) that you put them in a corner for bass reinforcement, so the room they're placed in have to be taken into consideration. I want/need something a little more flexible. Furthermore, this is a home- not a disco! I'm sure the LaScala would crack the windows sufficiently!

A WOPL 1000 with your head in the horns? Can't hear a thing? You should be deaf- I'm not surprised you don't hear a thing! (Yes, I know you're referring to zero input/noise floor).

And yes- I'm talking about Baltic Birch ply, not the Home Depot "cabinet grade" ply. Going to Home Depot and Lowe's anyway just to see what they have for curiosity's sake, but I don't expect that I'm gonna buy from them. I need a pendant lamp and dimmer for my bathroom and hallway anyway.

The ports can be integrated into the cabinet build, makes it about a foot higher. If done as a separate construction, just remove the bottom cover of the speaker cabs and align the doghouse cutouts. Can be done later...

EDIT: Cover the fronts with Tolex to keep bugs and mice (kittens?) out of the port holes.

Wood requirements (per cabinet): Four sheets at 24" x 48", 2 1/2 sheets at 26" x 48" (or just 6 1/2 at the larger dimension). Cabinets are 24 1/2" deep, bigger than the 24" stock sheet size.

Still haven't been to the Depot/Lowes yet- had a late start today.

Check out Baltic Birch.....BAD ASS building material.More plies and NO voids , way superior plywood. Built a set of Soniphase S6's out of it and I was wayyyy more than impressed....

Getting harder to get the 11 ply Baltic Birch due to the stuff going on with Russia...

Yeah the stuff I have technically is 13 ply I suppose. It has 11 plys in the core plus 2 thinner birch veneer plys on the outside. Nice stuff, it is the table top on my 1949 Dewalt GR Radial saw.

Well I still cant figure out how to do that bubble thing and put someone elses post in there, so them that said it know that I am directing a response to them.
..... So I'm just going to answer and hope Nick Danger Knows what I'm talking about, the picture I posted is actually a part of the plan for a Klipsh Jubilee, it's like a Klipschorn but a much longer folded horn, I believe and NO corner required.
