Right on. No rush at all... It's going to take me some time to track down where I put that tape. I don't think it got labeled and is in a box of things that got rearranged when I put my pool table in that room. Pretty sure it was on a TDK AD-X, though... if not, I'll re-do one for you from scratch. I do still have the pre-recorded tapes from which I pulled the tracks, isolated in a small box. You'll get either a copy or re-master of that tape. Estimated time of completion before end of Feb. LOL!

Thanks, John. I received my copy of Derek's pre-recorded mix tape, recently. He did a nice job with the dub. I admit after receiving it, I immediately dug into my old pre-recorded cassettes to try a few out. I've set aside a few that I feel are examples of how good some pre-recorded tapes can sound. None of mine will be the more esoteric MOFI or limited production stock. Whatever you purchased for your car or portable is what I will be showcasing. Most of these cassettes cost in the $8-$10 range in the 80's to 90's.

I think most of my pre-records on the mix tape were standard, the Dire Straits one was a chrome issue. The Eric Clapton surprisingly was a standard ferric issue, it sounded brilliant. I played the end result of the mix tape and recorded it into 24-bit/96khz digital quality for archival purposes, same with the Memorex tape. Most pre-records are made in the factory using high speed dub machines and a master tape or digital loop as the source. I look forward to hearing the results of your pre-records Nando. What will be interesting is the fact that they may be Canadian or US issues, will be good to hear how they sound.
