I would not have it any other way. It's what makes this place fun. I also like the no attitude aspect. Everyone can have fun but the threads usually go back on point for awhile. When they start to get a bit blasé then we have to juice them a little

I don't want to take this discussion too far off the rails, but I'm not really qualified as a tech, beyond the most basic service items, most of which folks can do themselves anyway.

If you have any other questions, concerns, or comments regarding me and my [former] tour at TH, I ask that you start a new discussion or at least PM me first.

If we moderated or edited threads that went off the track, my guess is it would be darn near all of them. As long as posters follows our pretty laid back rules not much gets edited here. Yeah sometimes it is hard to follow a thread, but sometimes it is the humor in those threads that brightens ones day.

I guess the best way to put it is: we appreciate if posters are cognizant of keeping posts on track, but we don't get bent out of shape if they don't. And I agree with tangential threads being very hard to follow. I simply read through them and ignore what doesn't make sense, after a while you get good at it.

Thanks, Ron. There are a few that aren't convinced about the little V-6. A fellow, who owned two nice 80's Hurst Oldsmobiles, but hadn't seen my GN, was showing my friend, Johnny, around his compound where he had a large collection of iron in different states of condition. Johnny was interested in a 50's Buick he had, and spotted the H/Os, replete with decals, Lightning Rod shifter, etc.. When Johnny told him I had a GN, he exclaimed how he was convinced his 307 c.i. V-8 would make mince meat out of the Buick with its six-banger.

There's always a few out there, Ben. The Buick Regal, which the GN is essentially an optioned Regal, did indeed have a V-8, but were not Grand Nationals.
