Laz, my collection is spread out in three locations. I have probably 2 thousand here at the house. A 10 x 20 private storage unit with at least 5000 in it and other stuff Deb did not want here LOL. Probably a thousand still at my sisters in NY that I have not gotten around to picking up yet from a collection I bought up there 8 years ago

That's not counting the about 1000 that are in the possession of my ex in Amsterdam, NY who annexed all my shit when I went away for 5 years back in 1989

To put it in perspective, I have SOLD close to 4000 records just in the last year on AK, here and a few guitar boards I belong to. I have not had much work and that's how I have helped the wife to keep us afloat with 2 teenagers in the house

My original collection was just over 15,000 records. Ask Jason about the stuff I have LOL. I had planned to pare everything down to just my Metal collection and maybe 100-200 other rare records in other genres

Shall I get you started with a little Metal?

I think you can see the other folders I have there of stuff I have offered for sale. Should anything interest anyone, feel free to ask. A lot of it has sold in the other folders

Wait until you see my UK and Japanese Pink Floyd collection I sold last year to finance my son's Prom. How about the Queen sealed box set? At least 50 mofi lp's I have sold on AK and eBay, a few were sealed. Ever see EVERY cover version of the banned Scorpions Virgin Killer and Blind Faith lps (including sealed examples?), I still have them

I had well over a thousand Japanese pressings of rock albums alone, still got a bunch hehehehe

See if you can dig through this link, there is some cool cassettes also. I still have some sealed factory cassettes I should pull out

I think Jason has a pretty hefty collection also and I think Ben is well on his way to as far as a heavy hitter

Those people you show collected everything and that includes a lot of chud in most peoples eyes. Quality over quantity is what my collection is about

You should see all the picture discs I still have, just sold 22 Maiden ones a few months ago and they were not the reissues

That has to be the mantra.

Unfortunately, quantity often translates as mediocre in most cases.

Having said that, I see a few guys on this board with some really nice record collections.

And without doubt, Northwinds has a very impressive library of music from the photos I have seen him post at Phoenix during my time here.

Hey Ron, there are a couple in that bucket link I saw, that if you ever decide to rid yourself of them(if you still have em) let me know.

Mr Crowley live, Metallica, British Assault to name a couple. And if you ever come across another copy of that Roxy Blue album ill take it.

Hey Ben, I traded the British Assault, I still have the Mr Crowley Live and that Roxy Blue is a rarer muthafuckka (my only copy and it's sealed). Those guys were great. I remember when they first appeared on MTV and did Rob the Cradle... HOLY SHIT!!!!

Yeah I found the CD, based on your recommendation. Loved it. Would love to have a vinyl copy.

That's one record that will climb in value since very few records were pressed of it. It came out when CD's took over the market and vinyl was phased out. I checked eBay, just cd's and cassettes of it, no vinyl versions. I paid $50 for the sealed copy over 5 years ago

Indeed. There are several bands from that time when alternative was just on the cusp of taking over. Another one I have been looking for is Salty Dog debut album. It was released on Geffen. And The London Quireboys debut, A Bit Of What You Fancy is another i've had trouble locating.
