I don't see anything misleading. Condition, price, transport and working verification explained well. The only thing that may turn someone off is the working when taken down bit. While truthful you just open a question to the buyer regarding working condition.

True, but that's what the reality is...I can't hi-pot the windings cause I don't own a hi-pot or windings tester...

I do however know a motor rebuilder that has all those goodies . Thanks Fish, I'll correct that in my next listing.

Here's the communication from the buyer...

Dear Mr. Laatsch55,

You can cancel this sale, I sent an e-mail yesterday and I got a response from your office, this is what it said: " There are 6 transformers and a load bank tester included in the sale. The load bank is white and located directly behind the 6 gray transformers.
Thank you & Good luck
Candi

As you can see this sale was deceiving to the buyer. Also, I made copies of all the pictures that were posted originally, once I placed my bid, you deleted most of them.

I was not going to bid $1000 for just 1 225 KVA transformer, (I was interested in the load bank and the variable voltage units),
Last month I purchased 43ea. pad transformers from the US Navy for $3800.00 dollars.

You can keep your transformers and cancel the sale.

Best regards

Lee: Is it the successful bidder that purchased the transformer who is giving you flack? Perhaps, transformers need to be emptied of oil before transport, otherwise it is a dangerous good?

Yes it is the buyer Nando. But I just got that follow up message from him. It appears all is well. The oil company that bought these transformers originally paid 12,000 for this particular transformer. there are 17 more of them in my yard. We split what they sell for so it really isn't like I have any skin in the game, but I hate being told I'm deceptive.......except when it's warranted...which in this case it isn't.....

The oil used for insulation and cooling nowadays Nando is PCB free, just good ol mineral oil, and these are wayyyy to new to even know what PCB's were.../
