I'm an old Dodgers fan from my California days.....Koufax, Drysdale...but the Royals are to good a story...a purer story...

I've lived in SoCal going on five decades and the Dodgers are still the bad guys for me. As a kid I heard the radio broadcasts hearing the names of Mays, McCovey , Cepeda, Marichal, the Alou brothers and many others that became my boyhood idols. Did you know that the Giants have the most representatives in the baseball hall of fame? The Dodgers are second with the Yankees in third. I always ass-u-med that the Yankees had this hands down but I just discovered that this is not true.

Go Giants!

I'd be happy with either team. I have a dislike for KC since they are in the same division as my Twins, but the Giants have won twice in the last four years.

Not sure if anyone is fearing the beard this year? :hello1:

The Giants were the ball cards I would put on the spokes of my bike! Grew up in So Cal. and the Dodgers were my team.
I saw them beat the White Socks and win the World Series at the coliseum in 1959. I still have my ticket stubs . This was
before the team had the field in Chavez Ravine.. Also remember the beautiful Lithos of each player 76 Union Oil gave away
at the gas stations.
Now a Cardinals fan big time, but I gotta go with my second home team. GO KC ROYALS. :hello1:

Cool stories on this thread.

I was excited to see wild-card teams make it to the end, and actually didn't expect the Giants to make the cut.
On the AL side, I would have been equally happy to see the Orioles make it to the series too, only because it's been so long since their glory years.

Glad to see this series going long instead of a lopsided mess like many have turned out to be in recent years.
The pitching, the fielding, the management calls have all contributed to a pretty exciting series to follow IMHO.

Go Giants but may the best team win, I'm happy either way.
