Of all the LP's and CD's I've been scrounging lately at thrifts, the best find is by the Westport Art Ensemble, a self-titled CD from 2002. It's free-form jazz by local musicians, recored (really good recording!) at a local venue I have been to. I just finished listening to it, and am impressed, though I'm not generally a big jazz fan. The album cover even came up on Gracenote.
