I've totally lost the plot....
Finally got my JBL SA660 Amp back again from more troubleshooting and intermittent fault finding.
Hopefully this will be the last time for a while.
They're a great little amp, and most difficult to come by….
All's good so far, and has brought a little sunshine to my day today….

I had no idea that JBL made an amplifier. That is so cool G. How does it compare with your other amps?

I just love it to death Dennis. It compares favourably to anything else I have here. It's definitely a 'keeper'.
It's clean, airy, no harshness, terrific bottom end, no overtones. Just great.
It's got a bit a poke when u up the dB's, and matches my older JBL speakers just nicely. Not trying to break any loudness records here, just enjoying the music at comfortable levels, and it's not lacking a thing.
I'll try some old blue JBL monitors tomorrow, but for now I'm playing it safe with just a pair of JBL L36's. (I've got spare drivers for them at least, should anything go wrong during the 'test' period.)

They're very rare, and sold for thousands on the collector's market, before the 'slump' and it's a privilege having one. :blob5:

I just E-payed them and they still go for a real chunk of change. I'm happy to hear that you've got your amp up and running - that is always a good thing. Presently I only have big arse amps but I've always liked a bit of head room - or is that head in a room? I've forgotten - damn. :???: :???: :sad1:

I've got too many 'big arse' amps. That's why I like this one. It's 'cozy'. I don't need to run 10K systems to hear what I need to hear when I can have a little 90 watter doing the job, more appropriate with my surroundings.
Once all my big stuff is on and all those fans, u have to raise your listening levels considerably to drown 'em all out.
At 2-6 in the morning, that's just not an option. This little thing shines, and really does sound that good that u don't need to have it loud…. (yeh, that's wot happens when u get old. Just ask Lee! LoL….) :laughing5:
Still, I agree, a little head in the room is still always a good thing, and for that, I'll bring out wotever it takes…

Your kitty still follows that watch no matter how long I watch - kind of reminds me of the bouncing titties. They never seemed to fall out no matter how long they bounced around. Why is that?

I was watching it once, and after looking at the time 5 minutes later, it was actually an HOUR AND 5 MINUTES LATER!
I dunno wot happened! I must've hypnotised myself or something, but it didn't 'arf freak me out.
I was trying to figure out wot was the reflection on the watch, and it turned out to be a big bad wolf….
I know better now, so it won't happen again. LoL.

Oh my - maybe that is Michelle Pfeiffer as the big bad let me bite your arse wolf!

So - what was up with the titties? I didn't see a big bad anything other than those bouncing betties!

Kitty - Titties. Maybe we can make up a poem about your kitty with no titties and a watch!
Like wot?
Something like, "Watch the kitties watch the titties…. titty bum titty bum titty bum bum bum…."
OK… ur turn. (careful now, we're not in the cave. Keep it child-safe) LoL….

Work work work, feel better for it though. I finally managed to stock up the food supplies, first time in 6 months. Great environment to work in with no bullshit. Not as much spare time but well worth the money. All is good, mainly slept and did my running around this afternoon, traffic sucks but got it done within a couple of hours.

I like that JBL amp George, if its anything like their speakers I'm sure its top notch. I have to agree that lower listening levels are just fine too (as I found this with the 40wpc bang and olufsen which is still my main amp) =). I had a friend over the other day and the B&O went loud and clear enough for nice listening levels outside :evil4:

I found it quite amusing. I still hear the term 'fag' used as a reference to cigarettes too.
