Would love to go but just too far away. I have not seen Skynyrd since the Southern By the Grace of God Tour in the late 80s

If that is true, you have probably been to more Skynyrd shows that they have performed. :toothy10:
They played A LOT of small venues also w/ different lineups I think, especially when the band started to, well face it, SUCK. I have not been impressed by much of the new material but the old classics are another story. They set a high standard and when Ronnie died, they never were or could be the same. That special vibe and creativity is gone

The best Southern Rock band of all time, they wrote the book. Other bands like the Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot etc... are great but Skynyrd stands alone in the genre

That is still a lot of shows. :toothy10: Unless they performed in the same venue for a year and you went every weekend. :blob5:

100 shows is not hard if you follow them for many years. I saw the Dead over 100 times between 1980 and the early 90s, not hard when some shows ran multi nights. MSG was 10 nights of tripping my face off alone. It was pretty easy to do the East Coast shows for me back then. You always traveled in a crowd and sold doses, weed, 'shrooms, MDMA, soapium or whatever to make the next show :laughing5:

You guys are too hard core for me. I never saw anyone in concert more then once, and once was enough. I pretty much hate concerts just people that are either drunk, stoned or otherwise puking on the floors and spilling their beers and fucking standing up blocking my view.

I saw Chicago twice, 26? years apart. They are the very first and last concerts I've been too, mainly because I didn't have a car in 1984 or when they came to the Western Idaho Fair a few years ago.

I spent eight or nine trying hours at the H.O.R.D.E '98 Festival (Blues Traveler...) and while it was ultimately a lot of fun, it's not a thing to do if you are broke and have to wander about to beat the heat, the venue was in no fu--ing way serious about what the heat could do then and it was a big carnival of merch.

Of course, once the sun started going down, the real fun stuff happened on stage.

I never saw Family Values or Vans Tours although they came here.

I've seen Skynyrd in 11 diff states .. My first show was march of 95. The last show I was at was 2 weeks ago. If I go to this I am done. I am good friends with them these days but the quality of the performance is gone. It's to routine and they all know it but there stuck in the big wheel. This would be a good end to a great run and a lot of killer memories and stories along the way... I've seen between 500 and 1000 concerts ted nugent was my first in 1986. I was 9. The rest is history!!!

Yikes with that many concerts how did you have time or money to do anything else? I can probably count on one hand the concerts I have been to and i don't have any desire to ever go to another one. :)

We should change you name to nugent73 or something like that.

i worked for the same landscape company for 15 years and they were cool about the call offs all the time lol just because id make up sundays and shit.plus i had a trailor on my family land where my house is now. so i kinda had it made there. so it was pot,gas and tickets. then i got to know them tix became free. i havent paid for a skynyrd ticket for my last 70 shows. me and gary sat and smoked 3 one night and afterword the rd manager told me the only other person gary has went out of his way to smoke with was willie nelson.... good compliment imo:glasses1:
