That's an exceptional purchase. I stay away from Garage Sales because I might be tempted with buying more vintage stereo gear. Thanks for the video. I didn't hear any scratchiness when you operated the rotary controls.

Only the balance has a slight scratch, but that seems to be rather common on amplifiers (my Technics SA-104 still does it after a spray of contact cleaner while the rest don't have it either). The rest works fine and I haven't found anything malfunctioning on it yet. Will test the turntable plug in today, to see if the pre-amp still does its job. But I think that will hold up fine. It does show its quality though, having sat its 38 year long life mostly in the box (judging by the condition, it has never been used).

That is a really nice score - nice neighbors. Do they have any cute daughters?

I do notice that one thing is wrong: The POWER nor STEREO lights turn on. If they are just LEDs, getting replacements should be real easy.

They aren't LEDs, but once you pull out the bulbs there might be one of us who have replacement incandescent bulbs.

I replaced all the bulbs including the stereo indicator by new on my Pioneer SX424:

Piece of cake.

Replacment bulbs are easy to get and very cheap.

Miles: That's as clean as they come. Do you still have it hooked up in the kitchen area?

Took a look, they are 8V 50mA light bulbs. Would a 4mm 8V 60mA bulb do? They're tiny bulbs in rubber boots, that look like LEDs (but aren't). I can't seem to get them out of their boots though.

Don't pull them UP, reach under and pull them out.

Could the 1250 stuff be moved to its own thread? I really want to focus on fixing the bulbs, and this takes away from the thread a bit. Plus, it would be much more followable if it has its own thread.

So, would you like ALL OFF TOPIC posts removed, or just those pertaining to the 1250?

Yes, this is what I meant with moving to another thread.
I ordered the bulbs, but the company selling them failed processing the order and I have to contact them. Couldn't do it today because it was a national holiday.
Though I can't really vouch for a company that can't process a simple order of two bulbs. They did take the money off of my account, so they better get their heads together.
