I love the sound of WOPL in the morning
I rechecked everything and it appears the Unfused B+ solder point on the right channel most likely was touching the back metal. It had blown the fuse. Replaced the fuse and adjusted the wire and now it passes the dim light bulb test and has appropriate Bias (was able to adjust to 370mV with ease). Offset is around 27mV in left channel and 20mV in right.

Looks like I am heading in the right direction!

Good thing you checked. You are now on the right track. Your offset will come down a bit when you get the output drivers in

Good catch, sure as shit.....remove R10, R11, C4, C5...
Lee - those are the Zoebel network components for the DC protect board. The 400 DC Zoebel network resistors are R1 and R2 - the caps are C8 and C9 - but you already know this. You have 700s on the brain dude! :rabbit:

All drivers in. Offset is 25mV on the left and 17mV on the right. Bias is solid at 360mV both sides. Have the unit playing right now and it sounds great!!

I agree...WHAT DIFFERENCE COULD IT POSSIBLY MAKE NOW?>??

Can you believe the gall of that bitch when she spoke before Congress?/ There's some loved ones and relatives where it makes a difference. That administration wasted two seals and an Ambassadors lives for an election....they need to be left in a similiar situation.... then tell me what difference it would make....and then talking individeally to the families promising to "get the guy that made the video"......ya got me started now....and the sad part....they all said it with a straight face.... wasn't their first lie.....

Disgusting and terrifying how our "leaders" can utterly disregard and dis-value (is that a word?) a soldier's duty to protect and perform heroic deeds for our freedom

Anyways... Back to the Phase Linear. Have everything up and running and it has been sounding great hooked up to the CV D9's!!!! One thing I have noticed is that it appears the right channel is a little weaker than the left. Don't know if it is possibly speaker placement as the right speaker is tucked in the corner but I haven't changed that and didn't notice it before.

Is there a way I can check channel output to see if I am off in that regards? Other than that this thing is a beast. I can't get over how great it sounds cranked way up. It is soooo clear and I find that I can listen to it loud without my ears getting tired. It is also pretty awesome how the individual instruments stand out on their own and you can really tell where in the room they are coming from

Get a meter and measure output voltage. Is this on the 700?
It's a WOPL'ed 400. I used some test frequencies real quick and the output voltage appears to be the same but I am sure it is a pretty inaccurate test. I have a handful of 10ohm 5W resistors I might put in series/parallel to get a 8ohm load but am not sure it will handle a full output test. I could use it to test a signal tone at half output to see if they are equal. Was wondering if you had any advice on making something that would be up to testing the 400 at full power? Or should I look inot something pre-made like the ones I have seen at parts-express?
