Goin old school SLF. Thanks for the pm on ak about that prine lp.lmk
have you heard that Eddie Henderson lp I just was listening to?

I have a couple of Eddie Henderson LPs but not heard that one. I bet it smokes, that's good period for jazz with rock fusion influences!

Ok, will PM you details for the Prine s/t later today.

This fine sunday morn:

EMF - Unbelievable (single)
Lords of Acid - Our Little Secret

What's everyones thought on the ICON series of albums? Just realized I have quite a few of these. Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ray Charles, Buddy Guy, George Strait, Josh Turner to name a few.

Lords of Acid, sheesh that brings back some patchy memories. Used to have Lust and loved it. Old girlfriend got away with that one a looong time ago.

Not familiar with the ICON series but the artists listed certainly appeal to me.

Robert Palmer - Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley
(1974, Island) -1A / -1A STERLING in the deadwax

with The Meters, Lowell George, even Steve Winwood on a few tracks.

just cracked the seal on this title, what a treat. Years ago I used the CD to audition the JBL 4430s, specifically the first couple of minutes of Born Under A Bad Sign. It was/is crushing and I wondered if the previous owner would change his mind about selling as we listened to Jimi 's guitar come howling out of nowhere on that track in his garage!

Yeah, that + the New Orleans connection with The Meters and Allen Toussaint + killer sonics. great LP.

Was that a lp you are gonna put up on ak??

Yes, if I can find my personal copy I'd pass this one along. Unfortunately "P - Z" artists in my collection are spread across shelves in a couple of upstairs rooms so hard to find. Will let you know, in case you can use it.

Got my Beatles 'Let it Be' Box Set [1970] today.
Not playing it, but very happy to have found one in remarkably great condition.
Amazing how much some of these can fetch.
Well I'm more than happy with mine.... and especially for the price I paid.
:happy7:

These before I pack them up and send them to their new homes. These are Vietnam War era GI records. The Beatles is a cool obscurity, actually they all are sort of obscure as not many were pressed. Sort of on demand depending what was popular at the moment

Ah the Lust LP, ya thats a smear of strange memories. That one and just about anything from My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult haha.

The Icon series almost appears to be a very well made version of a greatest hits albums. Picture a better version of the old time life music series commercials on tv around 2 am lol.

It's one of those days where an all out assault of Metal will only due. So let the Cannibal Corpse spin, time for a marathon starting with The Bleeding.
