Springtime means lots of outings on the bike here. Most of them requiring stopping for drinks now and then. I think I may need that underseat flask contraption.

Yeah, I'm not a real bicyclist or anything, I just like to park my car on evenings and weekends and use the bike to tool around town, run errands, bar hop and that sort of thing, maybe an occasional trail on the weekends. Probably seldom go more than 20-25 miles in a trip. Even in the hottest parts of summer, no real hydration required, a beer at the next stop usually suffices.

Same here, just ride for fun locally and to do errands around town. 20 miles is about enough saddle time for me. My velo weights anywhere between 40- 70 lbs depending on what I have crammed in the bags, basket or trailer.

It's weird, after meeting a forum member , when reading their posts, I now read hearing the members voice, and before , hearing in a tone and inflection I've applied to them....hmmm......

Always have a couple 'o few big bottles of water and usually a gatorade mixed up for most any ride. Another reason my bike weighs a ton!
Mine weighs a ton because it's made out of STEEL. And it has a rear rack built with REBAR for a stabilizer :bootyshake:

Plus, your neighborhood is not devoid of hills.....
Yeah there are a few hills. The leaving is not so bad Lee, it's the coming home. I don't mind a couple of steep climbs, but coming back from town is just that steady grade that can be a butt kicker when the wind is blowing at ya.

Sounds like you could move a mountain with it. Love me a steel frame. Next build. My front rack is steel, rear is aluminum.

I love that I am now able to "hear" your posts, Lee.
