This unit is going to be on it's way to a new home. Enjoy, Steven.

Many, many years ago, I had some model of Wollensak deck, er dreck. More recently, an old and non-working Sony came into my life with my wife. I bought my first cassette deck (Teac A-150) and never looked back. These days I have a Denon which I like very much.

I have a couple of these in the collection and love this deck to pieces!

Douglas: Your videos are awesome. I really appreciate seeing other members' systems in action. I know how time consuming it can be to record a clip and offer it for others to view. The Pioneer RT-1020L is a bargain R2R that outclasses many others of that vintage.

Cheers, Nando. I appreciate the kind words and hope to do a better job with my future video posts as I do have a few more decks to share with you kids. The RT 1020's were the first open reel decks in my collection and still my favorite.

Nice Technics, Douglas. If you do get an RS 1500/1700, I might be willing to part with this:

That's very kind of you to offer, Nando! I am hoping if I ever get a Technics 10" deck that it will have one, but you know how that goes. Almost pulled the trigger last week, but I think the owner sold it locally as he did not want to deal with shipping it.

In case you need one, I got one. I have the feeling cassette decks and MD decks are taking a back seat to the open-reel format. Good luck in your pursuits, Douglas.

Nando, I just purchased another tape deck and traded for a portable MD player on Friday. That's my problem, no back seat! As far as source components go for me, I am still on the hunt for a Sony SCD1/ 777ES, Technics OR's, a couple of cartridges for the tt and my custom pair of monblock WOPL'd 400's. After that, we'll see;).

Nando: I didn't figure that I gave you such nice songs in the original six or Christmas 2013 single reel! I would love to have a cassette of this:

Not sure but I may have a parts chassis that will accomodate your GX-221 in some ways-it's GX-220D.

If you do make a copy I prefer Dolby B as almost all of the decks I've added lately are B-only...I can send the tape too.

Steven: It may be awhile before I get a chance to dub a copy of that 7" reel onto cassette. No need to send a blank as I have plenty.

Douglas: Keep striking off more from your wish list. It's good to see you are a goal-setter.

Someday I will have a Pioneer reel to reel of my own. It would take a while, I'm sure.

Very nice, Douglas. And you have both sides filled @ 3.75 i.p.s. with jazz? That's a lot of chill for the evening.
