Well - guess what arrived today? I received two packages from Mark this AM and scooped them off the porch on my way to work. I was going to open them when I returned home but I couldn't wait and they were just a few feet outside my work space - so I went to my car and brought in the largest of the two packages. I opened it up and was thinking there's some cool stuff in here but this isn't what I purchased - I snagged the electrolytic capacitors and some poly caps so that is what should have been in the package. Man - I was thinking. I sure hope Mark didn't mail me someone else's stuff as the postage wasn't trivial and I want to get it to the right person. It seemed to me that the contents were part of item 3. I thought about it for a while and remembered reading Lee's post about two packages coming my way and another one or two to follow. I decided to open the other package to see what was in it. I'm now thinking maybe resistors and such but no - it had the big ass caps that I was expecting - cool. I than read Zach's posts about receiving more than what he ordered and I realized that Mark had sent me a box full of cool hardware in addition to what I bought. WOW - how unexpected but heartfelt. If you read this post Mark this is a Big Thank You!

That was a very underpriced and quality stuff I've seen in a long time. I would have loved to have it all, but that would not have been right. I'm glad folks can get some bargains and Mark is very pleased he has gotten his asking price. Everybody's happy....

I've got everything up to snuff except for just one of Zach's cassette decks and I'm working on that, am right on track for Mark, Web, Ron and I hope earlier payments than I thought with some work, more inspired when I see the good here.

Very funny Kevin. It's not like that. She doesn't care what I buy, since I am a frugal MoFo. If it's not a good deal, I'm not buying it. Even then, I've got to have a good use for it, or expect one soon.

She understands the value of a good bargain. Thrift shops when she doesn't have to...and sees the practical side of my abilities gained from buying this kind of stuff.

Really though, it's the dogs, and the fact that the room where the arrays are isn't one of our primary music rooms. Wouldn't want to waste all that WOPL goodness on movie watching anyway, now would I?

When friends are over, we hang out in the kitchen and den (where the PIN*BOT machine is! Did I mention how much I love having this? I got a deal on it, and fixed it myself... Couldn't have done that, if I hadn't bought "all this stuff" in the past. We Play it almost every day...sometimes morning and night.) I recently learned that you can fry bacon and play pinball at the same time if you're playing doubles. What else could I ask for?

I pulled the 700B to do some more work, and it's still not hooked up...I should see to that...maybe on the arrays. Are you this OCD on your own stuff?

Whatever man*. I'm not thin skinned. It was pretty clear that you were just razzing me.

If I had thought you were serious...that'd be different. But, how could I?

What was your address again?

:tongue1:

*just for clarity, this means no offense taken.

Well - the last of what I purchased from Mark came today in the post. The caps will complement what I have in my stash and the cans sound really good. I plugged the cans into the Sony MD player I just purchased from ND and... magic. I'm stoked! I'm slowly coming up to speed in the audio world again.

Thanks Mark and another thanks to Douglas.
