Well, many times I find myself duplicating tapes from the 80's and choosing some tunes to make my mix tapes. I have been very fortunate to have some quality decks to do so. I'm using my ZX 9 for playback and the Revox B 215S for recording. Sometimes I use the TEAC Z 7000 or simply my ZX 7. My friends are simpy amazed when I tell them that this a "copy of a copy" Ha! They just can't believe it. Take a look!

I use nothing at the moment. My BX-150 is out on loan, as I have no room in my stand for it anymore(it doesnt record properly anyways). I have had mixed reviews of the tapes my KX800 makes. Trying to find another 3 head deck.

El Mag: Man, are you blessed to have all those premium cassette decks available at your leisure. I think I will savour your pictures for awhile.

By mid-month I should be going 1:1 between two Pioneer CT-F 3000s as I will have two and the second one for only 25 dollars.

If I'm copying tapes I generally digitize and then record from that, vinyl or CDs I record directly. Basically, this is due to a lack of tape loops and space for more gear keeping me with my nakamichi rx-505 in one tape loop and the other loop taken up with a D/A converter so I can digitize tapes or vinyl or whatever. This is the same issue that's kept me away from getting into reel to reel. It's more the space issue than anything else, as I do have one of those radio shack boxes that add 3 tape loops if I really had room to stack up more gear. I think I need a bigger house.

I do have a Denon dual deck lying in the basement, but digitizing from the Nak and recording from that seems to give better results to me.
