Update....

This afternoon I picked up the very rare little brother of these QS series, the simple two head version:

This one never played a tape and was standing in a room collecting dust...
Didn't pay anything for it, but traded it for a good bottle of wine.

Love the looks of this deck; It's "what you see is what you get" with this one.
A solid and simple two head deck without any form of nonsense.
I haven't tested it but everything seems to be working, and it won't be a surprise to me that it will sound well.
So, up for a good clean and demag.

To be continued.....

Miles: Your stereo cabinet has seen a lot of shuffling of decks, lately. Too bad for your friend, once his bottle of white has become empty you still get to savour your new cassette deck.

Nando.

I know Nando, but I'm very happy to have this QS line up complete. Never expected to have the two header so soon and in state of new!
After some fooling around with it today it's clear that this simple deck will outperform the Akai.

A bottle of wine, so what can I say.....

I see what you mean Miles.

That two-header has an understated elegance.

Keeper?

Probably asked this before Miles, and just forgot, but what is the model number on that Sony portable again?

I count my blessings very often Daren, so this one will be a keeper without any doubt.

Yeah, love the looks of it; no unnecessary buttons and knobs on it. (the "what you see is what you will get" principle..)
