Custom Reel to Reel Flanges

So I have been talking with a friend of mine who owns a couple of business, one of them being a machine shop. I presented him with a 10" flange and asked him if he could produce these and was told yes. He also said he could do different cutouts and have them anodized a variety of colors. I figured I would start here and ask if any of you would be interested in having custom flanges for your open reel deck.

Pricing would depend on how many I purchase and I would have to buy a minimum of 100 flanges(50 reels).

Would you only want the flanges?

Reels complete with flanges, hub and hardware?

Tape care boxes?

What designs would you like to see? I have started to compile a list and here is what I have so far:

- original factory designs
- musical notes
- arrow heads
- cannabis leaves
- ammunition
- girl from mudflap
- beer mug or glass
- card suits

While I was putting together this list, I tried to take into consideration ease of threading leader. I figured once we knew what designs we wanted, then we could worry about colors.

I would have a few prototypes made in advance just to make sure they were up to stuff and these could be sent from interested party to interested party.

Thanks for the input, kids. They would be 10" flanges at this time, but could always look into custom 7" take- up reels down the road.

How about a Holiday edition. I know many of us with 10" decks have a Holiday mix in the collection. Maybe tree cutouts or snowmen, green on one side, red on the other.

I could stand to have 4 7" but I like the TDK ones the most...the two hole ones with the brick pattern around them like the NAB one, they exist but the last one I saw on eBay was so mangled on one side I would have been lucky to make a CLOCK of it.
