I have my favorite singers in rock; but I can't pick one. Now I have 3 favorite singers period. Ella, Diana Krall and Andre Bocelli.

Ahhh, Ruby Starr,I only know her from Black Oak Arkansas  Jim Dandy, I must investigate further...

I still think Ann Wilson can hold her own in any form, weight, style, decade....I found this vid, had a fantasy of her grabbing me by my raised shorthairs up to my love lair, while Nancy follows, gently strumming, http://new.music.yahoo.com/heart/videos ... e--2157824

Anyhoo, enough of that, Grace Slick is also a nominee :bunny: (wha, no white rabbit smilie?)

Yes, Grace. She was 39 on the stage at Woodstock and owned that stage. The scene where she stands there watching Jorma is precious.

I like Janis Joplin but now that I know a woman named Franklin recorded Piece Of My Heart a year before and Janis ripped it to shreds just right now I can't help feeling a little bad for Ms. Franklin.

Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, John Mellencamp (who also had a part in created the prototype of the modern country music video with Pink Houses and then helped start Farm Aid), Peter Garrett (Midnight Oil), Elaine (Spanky and Our Gang), of COURSE Cass Elliot, Agnetha and Anni-Frid of ABBA, Boz Scaggs and JIM CROCE!

How do you really pick a singular favorite if you listen to and like so many different styles of music?

S'wahts its all about Orange, just sharing all our favs, I forgot about the Grace on the stage at Woodstock scene, she was trippin' her brains out, yet, she was always in control of 'her boys' and her voice as well, what a babe , John Cougar (as I know him) nice touch, smoooth, Hoosier and all hehe  ABBA? really? OK...I dig it! Craig, I'll throw in Trent Renzor then :lichmalignus: :whax: :lichmalignus: :whax: :lichmalignus: :whax: :toothy7: :walk: :toothy7: :violent2:

Wow! Just watched 'Bad Company ~ Live at Hard Rock' on Pallidia channel, so I gotta throw Paul Rodgers in, that dude is 61 and he still has the pipes, in fact, he sounds sexier than ever with a bit of age to him

I saw him with Queen on 101 not long ago. Saw him with Bad Company many years ago. Worse concert I ever saw. Hated it. Got beer spilled down my back, hit in the head with ice. Light show sucked. Not a good concert for me. I'm bad at hearing the vocals in the background all I hear is the music. So I don't know many lyrics. LOL

Larry,
Have a listen to Paul Rodgers Muddy Water blues on The HD. Might just change you mind. Paul Rodgers is one of the most distinctive and original R&R singers ever...period
Cheers
