So....shortly after getting the B&W DM 6's one started to develop a distortion at certain base frequencies....hmmmm?

Was worried that the caps or crossover were going - 45yr old speakers. My buddy said to try tightening the cones down, no harm no foul if works! IT WORKED!

The Penguins are singing sweetly again, renewing my love affair. Only problem is that the Pioneer 828 is not quite powerful enough to drive these to their optimum, still an amazing sound with gut churning base. Would like to hook them up to the 400 again but between the Penguins and the 808's we're talking about 500lbs of speakers - wife would not be happy.

Maybe just for awhile......eh?

By chance does anyone have a good speaker selector switch they would like to get rid of??? I would love to hear the two pairs singing together!

Never heard of that happening, but it's certainly a cheap fix to check on any speaker!
