Which came 1st

Speakers or the electronics? For me speakers can be shaped by your electronics. Good In Good Out. You can hook up a mediocre speaker to good electronics and it can sound pretty good. I buy speakers that would seem to go with my components. Not the other way around. If I buy my speakers 1st and the highs are a little subdued. They certainly will be lacking if I run tubes. How do you pick your speakers?
