In some areas they are a bit more robust than our favorite outputs, the venerable MJ21196. For example the BUV's have higher collector current and bandwidth but the MJ's have the better Vcbo and Vcex ratings along with a better gain value. It might be worth trying a set. What is the unit cost of the BUV's? The MJ's are $3.78 each.

I know nothing except it looks like damping is still nice at 100 C. Can't be bad.

Warren Buffett smiles when Lee places an order at Mouser. Did you know this:

Mouser Electronics was founded in El Cajon, CA by Jerry Mouser in 1964.[SUP][/SUP] Jerry Mouser was a physics teacher who needed components for an electronics program at his high school. In 1983, his company relocated to its branch location in Mansfield, TX. In January 2000, Mouser became a wholly owned subsidiary of TTI, Inc. in Ft Worth, TX. On March 30, 2007, Mouser became part of the Berkshire Hathaway. TTI and Mouser found the perfect partner to allow the continuation of the very successful business model. The company transacts business in 17 currencies. The headquarters in Texas spans over 492,000 sq. ft. It has a wireless warehouse management system.

They run pretty high Mark.. about 12 bucks a pop! I was thinking of them in the "drivers" position (only haveta buy four there instead of 20!). Wonderin how they'd sound. BTW alls... I put the RCA410's back in me 700. The 15024's seem to be a bit harsh and causing some listening fatigue for me.

I just wonder how they got the name...Warren Buffet takes a lot of goofing but he's a wise man and better business model to follow than a joker like Donald Trump or other companies that just leverage and parcel off others for a living.

Lee, does one of us have a curve trace that would be willing to check the RCA 410s, for say $.50 each? I would be all over that because I think some are better than others based on the manufacturing techniques they used back in the day. Grouping them by date code does not really ensure a consistent outcome. It might be good to have matched pairs in each channel, I know that would help me sleep better. We would have to come up with a "goodness" construct like Hafler did with their MOSFETs. 0=poor voltage/current readings or does not meet gain specs, 1=bottom of acceptable gain, 2=low side of medium gain, 3=high side of medium gain, 4=highest gain, or something like that.
