In about 5 hours or so, this monster anvil head is brewing over the Catalina's to the north, those peaks are 8,000ft +, the tops of the clouds are 3 or 4 times that right now, it's been getting bigger every 15mins...Mother Nature will be puttin' on the show tonight  . It's really juicy for AZ out there. :laughing8: :laughing8: :toothy10: :laughing8: :laughing8:

The only bummer is the Dish satellite goes out with heavy rain, so I need to plan DVD's for the outage, and double check all the surge protectors

Hopefully the power stays on :toothy7: :toothy7:

Not a good pic, but that was as far back on the fence I could get in my boxer shorts :toothy1:

It's all clear around here now. Just a bit of low cloud cover. It is more humid than I care for (silly come from a mid west guy but I don't like it at all)
You're already gettin' the desert rat nose, you can sense 3 degree dewpoint changes in the air, that's why we get so excited when we smell a storm coming on, gets our juices flowing Hehe

So you have to watch View-Master porn and keep it away from the candle.

No, Southside Coop... but it was the feed from Dominion that went out according to the phone response system. There were about 3000 out at the peak.. that's probably why they got it back up so fast.

Yay, your powers back!! Mine too! We got pounded, estimating 1 to 1 1/2 inches in 15 minutes from most of town, I couldn't get a good pic from the front door, it was blowin' so hard, part of the fence is visiting the neighbors :D lost a trash barrel, got it down the street, looks like mine anyway Hehe! Flippin' came outta nowhere, just freaky, I loved it!!

Good news, the fireworks will happen tonight!!

The cells of the greatest intensity are breaking up and moving SW of Phoenix according to the current Doppler replay. The winds were 12 MPH. If anything, you might see a slight decrease in nighttime temperatures and moderation during the AM. 75-80F in the early afternoon as a front goes through and is broken up.

Back to self-combusting rattlesnakes Thursday.

I really hope this pic came out...hurricane force wind warnings in the city tonight, gust over 75mph, small hail, which i hope you can see with the rain, the sun was peeking thru to the west. Lost one of the big trash barrels again :p , and the part of the fence the landlord just had put back up, for about 10 mins the roof on the house was creaking and groaning, all I could think about was what to cover with plastic first if it flew off

Several homes weren't so lucky. If Tucson had the same topography as PHX we would have had a dust storm like theirs the other night

Crap, none of it came out  in the pic
