I have a pair of Baldwin EL 84 tube amps taken from a pair of Baldwin organs. Rebuilt before I got them. Guy I bought them from says I should use a variac to keep the incoming voltage down to 110 v. They work either way (my normal voltage at the wall is 119-122 v ac) But....with a Variac set at 110, they do sound slightly different...what do you guys do with 110 v gear?
