ND has some nice oxide for those in need. Just picked up a brick of Maxell from him and it's in great shape. Douglas packs his stuff really well.

I think there's a joke there somewhere???

Diminished output coming from the right channel of my Yamaha RX V1. All other inputs/ outputs are working fine so problem seems to be limited to amp portion of receiver(oh, please let it be bad caps!). I had intended to used this as my pre anyways, but it is forcing my hand a bit early. Using the Yammie RX V995 as my amp right now.

Dan(boatdrinks77) said I could audition his Denon POA1500 and/ or Proton 1200 until I get something of my own. Proton has a VU meter not working, but I would try and fix it for him before putting it in the kit. Not sure what the Denon needs as far as work/ issues.

Appreciate the kind offer to use The Pig- tempting offer! You may get a text in the near- future...............WOPL in the kit would have me fiending something fierce.

What did you reduce them to? I didn't notice or missed it in the Tumblr post.

It is usually the crappy output relays that Yamaha put into their amps. My old RX-V890 has that intermittent problem.

Thanks for the info, sir! When I am forced to rip her open, I may come crying to you for help. Any idea as to how to check to see which one(s)are bad? Are these unobtanium parts or made out of platinum($$$)?

If it turns out to be the relay, replacements are easy to find.

Hey Nando,

I bought the brick of Maxell XLII 90s and received them yesterday. Looking at the photos Douglas posted it seems he has five more of them. He has them combined with five Maxell UR 60 Type I tape.

That's a nice tape to use. I may buy the remaining XLIIs, if shipping costs aren't too bad. The vintage Maxell UR 60 are good, too.

Nando.

The SA90's I got were excellent. What do you have left? Please PM or email and I'll see what I can do.
