Val Kilmer was a homegrown Hollywood actor who tasted leading-man stardom as Jim Morrison and Batman, but his protean gifts and elusive personality also made him a high-profile supporting player in movies like “Top Gun.” He died at 65.
Absolutely loved his turns as Morrison and in Heat, one of my all-time favorite movies. Tombstone was great, too. Still, that final scene with Tom Cruise in Top Gun Maverick was a gem.
This is one of my own very favourite movies ever! Watched it back in mid 80s and, then, again and again and again....
And he is one of my favourite actors.
R.I.P. Val.
Anyways, I think "Top Secret" is far better humour than "Naked Gun" or "Airplane".... basicly, the two movies I do consider the very TOP of this kind of demented humour are "Top Secret" and "Guest House Paradiso" (a not that famous english movie from 1999)... these are just way above any other movies of this kind, IMHO.
