Welp, been putting this off long enough.. Next Friday night at midnight we'll be shutting down for about an hour (maybe more, maybe less) to upgrade the forum software to the latest... Just a head's up for everyone!

Sounds good, Jerry. Any changes from present to expect?

Nando.

I'll have to look through the release notes for the skipped versions, but yeah there may be a few cool new features we can use.

Speaking of a "feature", I finally took at look at this option called "forumrunner" (http://www.forumrunner.net/) - which shows up in my vbulletin "owners area". Supposedly it's not too difficult to turn it on, and we don't have to wait for the upgrade this Friday.

Forumrunner is supposed to be an add-on that enables everyone to interface with the forum here using "native" apps for both apple and android. It's supposed to be a LOT better than the web version (subjective opinion of course). The downside/catch - the read/write version of the client (what you guys would download and install) isn't free. However it's only 1.99 USD, and there is a read only version for everyone to check out first. No... we don't get any of that 1.99... that goes to the developers of the software, LOL.

Any interest in Forumrunner?? Speak up, and I'll see what it takes to turn it on...

Yeah, I figured you'd have to pay for 5.

While it took some time to get used to I think 4 is great.

Yeah, I seem to gather that it has gotten some of the suckage rep that Windows 8 normally would have.

It's just an update and stuff for the same version of Vbulletin (that would be 4.2.0 I believe) and no, the page won't start dripping down the screen like it's Halloween and it's meltimg...

Will it, Jer? BTW,Jerry, please get back to me or Web ca, iF i'm going to bother to try and keep this version of Linuix intact when i switch to 7...

I really have to get the IDE drives back first...lost a power supply and now I know the optical drive powers, openes and closes and it's the same IDE cable butt...

i prefer gremlins in a 4-door sedan.
