I think they lead the nation in Village People Wannabes too, but what do I know? Lets wait for the leader of the pack to pipe in. :cyclops:

A few of my friends have been buying up property in Arizona. It's really unfortunate, buyers have been from out of state.

Nando--------ever been there?? Out of staters are the only ones wanting to buy there.
OTOH, my daughter and her husband have finally been able to afford a house, they've been trying for four years and finally swung it.

There are very few born and bred AZ familys left, mostly Canucks and Mexicans. :D My Mom's in real estate, poor thing. It'll come back, 9 months out of the year the weather is perfect.

Oh Tucson. My one and only almost speeding ticket. The plane got me. Was passing everything doing about 95. Had to stay in El Paso the night before it was snowing hard. Making up time. I seen the state trooper coming on the on ramp. I pulled into the right lane. Going with the flow. He pulled beside me blew his horn and pointed. I pulled over. I knew I was going to jail for 30 over. He asked do you know how fast you were going? I said 90-95. He goes get out of the car. I'm sitting there here we go.

I go how did you clock me. He said the airplane. Then he goes I have been a Trooper for almost 10 years. You are the 1st person who told the truth. I'm giving you a warning for 69 in a 65. DO NOT SPEED IN MY STATE ANYMORE. Of course I shut the engine down before they get out of the car. No need to hear the Malibu running. It was a sleeper for sure. I did the speed limit till the Cali border then I let her go again and was making up for lost time.

The town from what I saw. Stuwee your a brave man to live there.

Well, I have to admit, from the Interstate it's not much to look at, I've always said they should clean that whole stretch of town up if they want folks to take an off ramp and visit our little slice of heaven, but then it also keeps riff-raff like you away so it's a catch 22  .

Had you taken some time to explore, Tucson is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the US, for 13,000 years folks have lived by the Santa Cruz riverbed, some of the old forts from the 1700's still stand. Some of the most beautifull south western homes you've ever seen, many from the 20's and 30's are everywhere. Google Josler homes in Tucson for an idea. http://parentseyes.arizona.edu/josiasjoesler/de.html

I assume your story (a great one btw, :thumbright: ) was from back in your druggie days. You could have made a fortune running 'good stuff' from here to Dallas in your hopped up Malibu :D

Did no drugs in those days well that they could test for within 72 hours. I have a story about the Grapevine on the same trip. Was going to Washington to work. That is the Malibu I built from the junk yard.
