Seems to me that I saw a thread that talked about that,,,a disc the went on your TT with the proper amount of markings and then small Hi intensity Light was used so when you adjusted the speed the light would show when the marks stayed steady,,,I hope this makes sense

Yea I just ordered one I hope it is good. The way I shake I wish it was mounted in some way that I didn't have to hold it. That could get pretty funny. I was just wondering what others used.

If you go to wwwsleevecity.com. If you need anything I get a discount. They have some pretty good stuff that is affordable.

I set mine by ear, use a nice classical piece with a piano that you're very familliar with :thumbright:

Of course, with the Thorens, you don't have to worry much about it changing much once it's set :binky:

Print out some test patterns from the internet and then use a small neon bulb. Shine the bulb on the rotating patterns and adjust the speed until the patterns appear to stop rotating. Radio Shack use to sell small 90v neon bulbs that one could hook to 115v line through a resistor. Being that society is so messed up you likely can't buy bulbs as someone could zap themselves. If you can't find a bulb let me know and I think there are some in the drawer in the shop.

The bulb flashes like a strobe as the AC current switches through the zero crossing.
