That ain't the Land of Lincoln, I live in the Land of Lincoln, Hodkins in in Shitholecago, 200 miles north, the part of the state that we want to make its own state. Please slap yourself several times about the head and shoulders fro this insult. 10 inch bruses should be good.

Heh.. well luckily the "damn dirty shipping apes"(note 1) didn't get my Denon 790R. I paid a pretty good price (no, not even half of those "deck scalpers" that have 'em on the 'bay for sale). Got it dialed in nats-ass and I'm recording some Donald Fagen.. and it's seriously SCHWEEEET!

Got lucky ... I'm coming to the conclusion here that one big diff in old tape decks you have to keep in mind is the age of 'em. The younger they are, the better condition the heads are in. That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

(note 1) - In case any of the "younger" generation don't get the reference, watch the end of Planet of the Apes (the REAL one with Mr. Heston), then go here and you'll get what I'm saying. Nowadays "they" work for Fedex...

Stuwee: Is it a Denon 790R? I may get around to doing a mix tape for you in a month's time. Are you going to get involved with the Traveling Blues Tape? It hasn't been officially announced, yet, until I kick off the first recorded tracks and have a track sheet drafted up in early January 2012.

Nando.
