I've been moving away from vacuum tubes for a long time, having sold my main stash a few years ago. Since then, I found a nice five-pack of 12AT7's at a flea market and got some more when my nephew smashed my Grundig Majestic. Here are the details:

A five-pack of 12AT7WB's. Each one is in a white box, all five are in an outer white box. They are JAN (Joint Army/Navy), branded GE, and dated 12/68. All test good on my EMC 213.

When my nephew was vacuuming, he knocked my Grundig off the shelf. Happily, all the tubes survived, and anyway, they all have low hours since the radio left the repair shop. They are as follows:

One Telefunken EL84 - tests good.

One Telefunken EM84 (tuning eye tube) - didn't test right, but it is an odd one. It is probably quite good.

One Westinghouse 6T8A - tests good.

One Siemens EF89 - tests good.

One Siemens ECC85 and one Siemens ECH81 - no listing in my tester manual, so not tested. Probably good.

One Electronic Measurements Corporation (EMC) tube tester, model 213. Tube list and tester settings included. The reprint date is 6/68. Dusty, but good.

If you need any of the above, make me an offer by PM, and I'll probably take it. I will have to charge for shipping, as that has become a very real hurdle. If you need photos, I can send them.

Is the nephew still allowed wothin 100 miles of the house??
It all works out - he rebuilt my storage shed, made it better than new, and only charged me for materials.

On the other hand, I'm still sore at my best friend, who borrowed my Filter Queen vacuum (there's that vacuum theme again) and tossed into a dumpster because he thought it was junk. Arrrrrgh! My nephew's actions were an accident, and more forgivable.

I am assuming these are greyplates?

The question came up, grey or black plate, so I'm posting two photos which should settle the matter. I don't care to state my tubes are one or the other, not being a vacuum tube authority.

I think Jamanna got a few of mine which came in plain white boxes also. He did not mention blackplate so I assumed they were greys. I don't really feel it makes a huge difference, military spec is military spec, they have to be quiet and no microphonics
In fact, it way Jay who bought my last big stash of tubes, and I think he got a good deal. For someone so well known in audio circles, his main system is fairly modest, at least by high-power WOPL standards. His workshop is more impressive. Here is a photo of the back of his house, a few Twangfests ago, but it's the back only if the lake is the front. Jay says he still hits a tube with his lawnmower from time to time, he, he...
