Has anyone here ever made their own tonearm cables. Just wanted to know since a dummy broke a wire yesterday. I won't mention any names. He just ain't right sometimes.

I'll post some pics. In a bit. I ordered a Cardas kit for a 9 inch arm. It was cheaper than the OEM wanted. I thought Cardas would be better. Now just the wait till it gets here. My cat tried to help me. LOL
If it is better then I'll do all my tonearms.

ot your care package, Robin trower can still play guitar.

Try those ICs out. And see what they do. Yes Robin can still play. LOL The Les Paul one I just got is pretty good too.

Well I pulled the TA and ordered the Cardas cables and pins. Shouldn't be to hard to do.

Well you TT gurus will the Cardas make a difference in sound? Or am I wasting my time. I could have gotten the stock wiring. This came as a kit rather cheap I thought for a Cardas kit.

Well I started the soldering. Which isn't fun for a blind old man with the shakes. LOL I soldered to pins on the wrong end. LOL Going to try and desolder them. I have a pic of the set up.

This soldering is a pain in my butt. One wire soldered trying to manipulate others so I can solder them. Been trying for 1/2 hour just to get one wire so I can solder it. Now I have to go get a magnet. I keep dropping stuff.

Larry

They are soldered. LOL Now to put it all back together. Yes I rang them out to make sure they were good to go. Thank God for reverse tweezers or I would be really upset.

Larry

DUDE!!!!!! Is that an automatic feed for the solder?????????????? Like a wire feed welder???? an, I've been lookin for something like that because my attempts to grow a third hand have been in vain!@!!!
