Broken beyond repair but highly affable

They were selling an SX-3700 and the only thing they they could really fine wrong was that one channel dropped ou now and then and they though maybe the ouputs were blown...

I explained over two message how if it was blown it wouldn't work AT ALL and explained about cleaning switches and other things that could be fixed somewhat easily and I suspected that they were probably quite attached to it as I had always been to that series.

I got a message back confirming my hunches...

"This is super nice of you and I have unlisted the item. To tell the truth I am a bit attached to this unit and you may have convinced me to give it another go.

Now that said, I am getting rid of a fair number of things like this that have probably relatively small issues and that could be brought back into good working order with a little tlc but they have also been sitting in my basement awaiting such care for a long time.

Thanks for the ideas and guidance
".

Those are little victories that count.

SX-939
SX-525
SX-3600 through 3900, SX-D5000 and 7000
SX-6000
SX-4 actually learned to love this series but not the cassette decks

TX-9100
TX-950 except for the button design that breaks too easily, excellent tuner
TX-6500 II/SA-6500II

QX-747
QX-8000 (although JVC 4VR-5456 kicks it's butt, it was my first quad, they need a lot of work in time though)

I tend to like the Pioneers I get.
