as in SINKHOLES...
2 reported in as many days. The previous night a Seattle woman went out to check on her poodle that was crying in distress when she too fell in the sinkhole, about 20 feet deep and later found to be a cesspool/septic sewer that was left unfilled from the time the 1907 home was built (predating Seattle's public sewer system) The woman and pet were brought out safely but the woman will have to pay to fill in the gaping hole, according to city officials as the city did not construct it.
Yesterday a Portland resident discovered that a sinkhole had formed and needed even more serious attention, as it was fairly close toi the foundation.
In that case it is not clear if is was caused by another cesspool collapsing but the heavy rains and snows of recent times no doubt contributed and it's thought that sewer work near the Seattle woman's home also added to the collapse.
Proving yet again, Crap comes back to haunt you and you may well fall into the hole that you dig.
