I am not sure but I think the prize he is giving away is a service - namely a recap of a specific amp and or pre-amp and not the equipment.

Oh boy, I have lots of catching up to do... on forum posts, that is. Lee, recently, gifted me a fully serviced Pioneer SG-9500 equalizer. I say "gift", because he wanted such a nominal amount for it. And he's stepping up to the plate with a service on a PL Series I pre-amp/amp as a prize. Nice offer!

Not just THESERVICE, I mean a Phase Linear Series 1 400 amplifier Recapped and tuned OR a Phase Linear 2000 Series 1 OR Series 2 with the same treatment.
The 400 will have new audio grade Nichicon "Muse" caps , new PS caps suppliedby White Oak Audio in their new upgrad kit which is pretty damn cool, new On-Semi MJ 15024 outputs, new front diff trans, new V/A stage trans , new pre-driver trans, new drivers, essentially a new amp.
The 2000 will have new audio grade caps , PS caps, Brown Dog Op-amp upgrade and pots and controls like silk.
Now, sorry bout the confusing post.. THIS NOT FOR THE SERVICE, ITS FOR THE SERVICED EGUIPMENT. Whichever one is not chosen I will ask Larry if we can have a drawing of all current members of that particular day for the other one. Lets get Phoenix going!!

I'll tell you what. That PL preamp is nice. If the 3300 had more hook ups I would have kept it. It beat the Hafler to a bloody pulp. I couldn't believe the difference.

So good luck to who ever. You are getting some nice prizes. I don't know about the other guys; but I will offer a prize at 2000 also. Previous winners are ineligible. So even if you can't in this one you may win another.

Them's some might fine PL gear to win, I'd like a new preamp to voice the main rig, but those VU's on the amp are in-tox-E-cating

If I can get my new man-servant 'Woofer' to quit smoking cigars.....he does flip the Lps nicely, and brings a frosty beverage when asked while I lounge on the couch
