I have a chance to buy a Technics Turntable. SL-110A with an SME tonearm. IT works and is in pretty nice cosmetic shape. I need another turntable like a hole in the head, but I can have this one for $300. Go for it or not.

From 1971 that's SL-brother Number One.

The turntable came without an arm so the SME was installed, probably a very popular choice back then.

A bit of history and the links should tell you what you need to know.

I think that it's a really cool find.

arm in good shape is worth the price of admission and if you don't have tables with separate arms this one will be the better table in most cases.
