Teac V-670 Humming Sound

I have recently acquired a Teac V-670 3 head deck which has a humming/buzzing sound during playback (tape mode) or when monitor is switched to source mode. If I unplug the head wires for rec/play the hum/buzz is still there. I don't know where to start to be honest. There is some factory glue near the large capacitors, I wonder if this has something to do with it? If not which component on the board do I replace? Would be grateful for any help here, thanks.

Get a PM out to Sam (Skywavebe). I have pictures of the PC board from my Esoteric V-9000. I don`t see the residue around my capacitors, that appear around yours.

Thank you Nando, he has contacted me on Tapeheads with some advice. I will do some work on the deck later today =). Will do some more of those tapes for you too, hope to have them done by the end of the weekend.

Sam is good at helping members out with their questions. Hopefully, that Teac will be remedied of its hum problem.

Yes excited to get it running nicely, its my 3rd - 3 head deck. Will work on it when I get my chores done for the day.

Hey nice deck! I was at value village earlier today, and saw what I thought to be a 3 head Teac, but as I approached it was a V-600 2 head. They wanted 9.99 for it and I passed. My brother recently picked up a V-2020, a really nice deck as far as I can tell.
