TEAC R2R's

Trying to make room for albums and decided to put my R2R's on the market (halfheartedly).

Local's only - not inclined to pack/ship 80+lbs.

Teac A4010S....Working condition, cleaned but not serviced
Teac A3300S....Working condition, cleaned but has an issue with tape shaving (not shed) on rewind. Should be just an adjustment....
Multiple 7" full reels of old tapes
Multiple 10" reels of old tape, a couple metal reels

Someone local that wants to get into the R2R scene can have a nice entry CHEAP....I don't have much into these and could use the space. Trying to make more room for LP's and please my wife.

If you can get to me to pick up (would like to sell together) make me an offer - you may be surprised at what I would let them go for....
A feed, a drunk and a listen are included to Phoenix members.

You should really attach a price to all of that of some.

The A-4010S is supposed to be a pretty nice deck.

I had an A-3300 10T and should have kept it to repair.

And of course, I'm not anywhere near Chicago if I could do it...

Is the shaving problem just a table adjustment or does tit need attention at the heads?

Let's say <$200 for everything...

Ill try to get some pics in a couple days, gotta get em together in some light (we have the worst lighting in this house, we're bad lamp people). Find the pick in Albums for now...best you're gonna get until I get off my ass.

BTW...the tape shave seems to be on the left reel....it was working fine up to the point I noticed. Recorded a couple tapes and played quite a few before I noticed this happening during rewind.

I certainly will consider it Ron. There are 3-4 Metal Sony reels (no logo and I can't vouch for the tape on them) and 1 Teac Reel.

If anyone wants to talk the R2R'S up on TH to anyone local I would appreciate it. I don't have enough posts to qualify into their classifieds. Don't have much to say there.....their numbers overwhelm me and never got any warm fuzzies from the site. I'll stick to being a lurker there, but you never know when the Fish will strike....

A3300 Sold...

A 4010S with a bunch of tapes still available.

4010 is a 7" machine, 10" won't work but it will play prerecordeds and record small reels reely fine.

By the way, the one 10" metal reel I saw sitting on top of the deck was 3M/Scotch, 1960s.
