Here is something I forgot I even owned that is rather cool. It's a meter bridge that Teac had for their model 2 mixing board ages ago. Looked for years for a bridge to go with the mixer then gave up looking after a couple years and sold the board. Well you know the story, up pops a bridge a couple weeks later so just had to have it. Mmmm, wonder what else is hiding around here that I forgot about?

It's been awhile so someone correct me if I don't get it right.... Foldback is an English term describing a mix which is sent to a monitor system. In multi-track recording the goal is to record each track as hot as possible for the best S/N ratio. This is great until one of the musicians asks to hear more or less of something. By using a foldback system one is able to record to tape as needed and then moreless tap off a signal of each track and feed it to the musician mix in which you can adjust individual levels of the tracks without impacting what goes to tape. In other words, everyone is happy. The tape gets hot signal levels and the musician can hear a mix that makes him perform better.

Yes, the MB-20 is very cool, it works great to expand the capabilities of the Teac Model 2A mixer (and A-3440 recorder).

Something like that would be very nice between my A-3300-10 and my Peavey MD-16 with stereo-2 mic monitoring as well, at least until the A-2340 gets together and can be used (4-year quest so far waiting).

Yes, even my broken stuff has promise.

PS I'm going to do a small esaay about my recording center in progress when I'm settled down and in order this winter.
