What to do? The RtR is in decent shape, the beast came from a local radio station, it came with all schematics in a book for use and repair. It's a 4-channel simul-sync deck, I've never used it and I'm really a cassette guy at heart.

I know there's a Rabbi here in Tucson that loves these old gems...Lee you know him from Audiokarma, can you see if he might be interested in it? I'm banned from there and can't contact him myself. It needs a good home.

Now, the 'doorstop' V-8000S deck, it's turned into a muncher :angryfire:, I haven't used it in about a year, the munching is just every now and then and always when the tape is flipped to the other side at the beginning of the tape (I've ruined 3 priceless vintage TDK MA-XG's on one of it's spur of the moment hunger rampages). It's a beautiful sounding deck, probably one of the top 5 from that golden last gasp in the late 80's for cassettes. Skywavebe, if you see this my 'baby' needs your attention if you feel like you want a challenge (I say that because when we last talked about this you had not worked on one before, and I'm not sure of the parts availablity on these rare models).

All that said, my trusty little Denon 790-R deck is a great sounding unit for being a very cheaply made light weight chassis. Thanks to Jerry for repairing my jack issue with it (He bought one himself after working on it).
