About the only place I encounter it in audio is between amps and speakers. some amps just address a certain speakers strengths better than others.
 
What they were speaking was something sounding better than it should together it has synergy. To my own thoughts. It is a word just to explain something that shouldn't happen. I put it up there with audiophile. What it is depends on the person your talking to. To me it isn't relative in audio.
