Yea!!

1st, I'm throughly enjoying the Celestions, they were my first hi-end 2-way speaker purchase, and thanks to Nando, I have a pair (PM sent to ya on the trade buddy :thumbright: ). But, an offer not to be passed up...member 'dingus' aka Scott, has seen pity on me an offered up a pair of AR Connoisseur 40T speaks, very nice 3-ways, he thinks they have a nicer sound than the vaulted ADS L810's he used to have in the room, they should be here around Christmas time

The Celestions will go into the 'love lounge' room and be re set up with a proper EQ, maybe macrame' hangers from the ceiling

Some pics from Scott...

Stuwee: those AR Connoisseur 40T speakers are beauts! I haven't seen macrame speaker hangers in use since 1977. Just watch your head when you've had a few tequilas. That's why that fad passed quite quickly.

Sure stuwee: hand-made macrame baskets and this dude on the Thorens will be all you need to achieve magical singularity.

Well, the AR's finally got here, got one yesterday, the other was awol, but still in FedEx's hands, it came today, Scott do a bombproof packing job, took 2 hours to carefully unclothe them, but, pretty, pretty, 1st sound impressions are impressive, they play nice with my set-up, the neighbors haven't complained .... yet, lot's of listening and tweeking of the position to do yet.

These puppies are tri-ampable....hehehe, more cables from the closet Jeeves, be a good chap and fetch them for me

Need stands for them and the Celestions, checking CL for good buys...milk crates for now (very stuwee :ugeek: )

It sounds as though things are shaping up for a splendid holiday season, stuwee. Hopefully, you won't have to wait long for the 2nd AR to arrive.

It's always comforting to have a big brother step in when needed. I would be careful stuwee. I have a good mind to send Lee and an accomplice over on the holidays to give you a surprise visit.
