Lee I got that and more wire. Did anyone get packages this week? I just wonder how much the heat shrink tubing will cost. We shall see.

Yep, starting to work up some enthusiasm to do all that myself.
 
I get something in my head.I will search till I find what I looking for. I may go through 20 different search phrases but I will find what I want.

Try looking for a wing part that is hooked to a flight control. Especially hardware. You may search for hours for one bolt. You may have to go to the OHM it isn't in the IPC and you have been looking for 2 hours. You can't order a part w/o a picture and the part number in black and white. They use to put me on parts research for 10 hours a day for a week. Hundreds of parts.LOL

So you have to have tunnel vision and possess the fortitude to not be swayed in any way!!
 
They are pretty relaxed on the dude doing parts research. Everything is on tape. Some are still on microfiche. What fun.LOL

Tunnel vision was a requirement. Some things you couldn't let your mind wander. We had just installed the gear on an Airbus. QC guy wanted a freefall. I told him I didn't need it. Wasn't on my paper work. He wanted it.So we did it. Then he wanted it sucked backup.I'm going no man.So we argued. They cranked the pumps on and hit that handle.We had just did a blow down.There was air in the lines that gear would suck up 3 feet and just drop till we got more pressure. Those wings jumped 4 feet off the jacks.I'm screaming shut it down. I cussed that QC guy.I dared him to say one word.I called him everything but a redheaded step child. I was mad.I almost peed my pants when I saw those wings come off those jacks.
