Ramis died from an auto-immune disease apparently. He was a prolific actor and drector who played Dr. Egon Spengler in the Ghostbusters movies, starred in Caddyshack, directed Groundhog Day and was a cast member of the legendary comedy show SCTV. Another reason to lament a strange and gloomy Monday.

I read about it on another site not too long back tonight and didn't have a chance to think about checking IMDB...I woke up around 9 PM. Yes, he was quite prolific and it's a huge loss. and if you think about it, he was probably as low key as Bob Casale of Devo...nobody really seems to recall until they're gone...

Someone elsewhere said they thought 2013 had taken a lot of our favorite celebrities but this was getting to be a bit much...I told him I understood and we aren't so immortal anymore, I'm afraid.
