Hi at all,

I'm near to rebuilt my alignment bench. And i need my reference deck again, with me.
I ask where is possible to find, a new take-up idler for my SC-1330.
I need to recovery my one, is my historic reference bias cassette deck tester, for the deck on the alignment bench.

Probably need a new pinch roller, but this (i hope) is easy to find.
The take-up idler is disintegrated, and not possible to measure.

The photo of the mechanism.

Thanks at all,

I start the restoring,
I forgot (after 4 year without a serviced a deck) how difficult is, remove the pinch roller from, the bracket without a good jig.
However, the pinch roller is a 13x8x2mm.

Hi at all, anyone know, what is the correct pinch roller pressure, on the SC-1300 SC-1330 mechanism?
In my is over 500g and is too much. On the SM is not specified like back tension and take-up torque.

Thanks at all.

Hi Libra, usually on single capstan mechs the pinch roller pressure is in a range of 300 to 500g.
Take up torque is usually 40 to 50g/cm and should be consistent to have a low wow & flutter.
Back tension is another story, very important on dual capstan mechs, usually 8-10g/cm, on single capstan it can be lowered to 5g/cm in case you get high w&f.
