I'm trying to figure out why on PB my peaks are so low? Any one have a guess. I have found some parts that I am watching. So give me your best shot.

Could it be something simple like the tape not biased correctly for the deck? What about connectors, controls or switches in need of a good cleaning?

I am sure you already thought of those but someone needed to respond! :)

Larry: on the back of the RT-707 are right and left channel output controls. Are they set too low?

Nando.

Thanks Nando
It didn't help. just put a tape on that was recorded on my Akai. Still way low. Guess I'll see if Rick has a manual.

Well I got a brand new looking pinch roller set. Bulb for the directions. Just received a head bank for it. The heads look new. Have to find some environmental splices. The heads were god when he pulled them so all I will do is put it on. No messing with the heads. just pull one and install one.
