My wife asked me yesterday how far my friend was from Denver. I asked why. My family would like to meet you. I looked at her like she had 2 heads. You want to put me on an airplane? She goes yes you use to fly every where. I looked at her and said I won't even ride on the VA van with a bunch of people. Guess I will be heavily medicated for that trip. LOL Use to get drunk to fly because of claustrophobia. Now I don't drink. Oh what a joy. 1st class or business class here I come. Guess I'll take some cough cough syrup before I go and clonazapam. LOL So Lee I don't know when but I guess I'm coming to see you someday. LOL

The puddle jumper from Denver to Gillette is a 19 seat twin turbo prop. 1 hour and 20 minmutes in the air. The lads are very good pilots, have been on three flights when landing was IFR only and they nailed it all 3 times, WITH a severe crosswind thrown in.

Careful, those little turboprops scare the crap outta me and I'm a well seasoned flyer. I don't care how good the pilots are, those little planes suck!

Never a dull moment around Lee, I can promise ya that!!

Try doing a check flight of a TP after it has come out of some serious maint. I don't sweat it till the pilot cooling fan stops. Then I sweat. Cool flying one though. All the commuters hires green pilots getting there hours to go to the majors to fly heavies,

There is only one or there was only one TP aircraft with one engine. That was a Caravan. All others must have 2 engines.

SAFETY issue.

You guys must never have flown in Alaska. ;)

Pretty intense flying off a dirt runway next to a lake in a little twin engine, non pressurized or heated Plane. If memory serves me right it was a DeHaviland Twin Engine Otter. First obstacle, just a narrow mountain pass. The airlines was AAI. Their slogan was AAI, the only way to fly. Everyone who flew with them said AAI, the only way to DIE!

Speaking of the Otter. Flying in the single engine, 12 seat Otter on pontoons was so cool. Looks like a big Piper Cub on floats. One of many neat things about growing up in Alaska

Here's a pic of an Otter
